Calculation procedure of daily values for the totalizer stations

1. Distances between each totalizer station and each daily rainfall station have been calculated under ArcView; the results have been exported to Access (table "T_proxy").
2. For each year the nearest 5 daily stations are determined for each totalizer station.
3. For each totalizer, all days with precipitation values of these 5 neighbouring stations are selected. Dates at which 2 or more stations show rainfall are assumed to be precipitation days at the totalizer station.
4. The daily values for the totalizer stations of these days are calculated from the average of 5 neigbouring stations for the respective day, multiplied with the annual totalizer sum and divided by the annual total of the 5 stations' average for these rainy days.
