Internal Tables of the DVS

The majority of data tables used by the DVS are temporarily linked from external data sources. In addition to this, the DVS uses several groups of permanent internal tables. Editing the data content of these tables enables the developer to modify the functionality of the DVS without changing the programming code.

The different internal tables can be classified as follows:

• Tables defining the data model
• Tables defining options for combo-boxes (e.g. lists of reference or projection years)
• Tables describing the content of list boxes for table options (the contents are only descriptive)
• Look-up tables (internal)
• Tables supporting the data output and formatting under Excel
• Tables containing thesholds for legends in the map output window
